The following project aims to create a robust theoretical basis for further research in body and mind interventions in organizational psychology, as well as to test and measure the chosen intervention in a pilot study using a mixed-method approach.
The proposed study of the project will focus on upgrading the current state of the art by interdisciplinary input of additional relevant literature and will employ mixed-method evidence-based research on the specifics of female managers, entrepreneurs, and employees in relation to their stress management well-being and explore the effectiveness of body-mind interventions. For the purpose of the pilot study, we are focused on the target group of female managers and entrepreneurs. As research shows that women suffer respond better to techniques that work with their bodies. The main theoretical contribution to the field of managerial psychology is the creation of a multidisciplinary theoretical foundation that integrates knowledge from leadership, management, gender studies, and psychology with a focus on body mind approach. The project is for 2 years. The first focuses on the theoretical side and strengthens the literature foothold with quasi-experiment intervention testing in the field, as well as an online survey. The second year focus is data analysis and presenting final results in form of journal publications and conference paper. The expected results of the project will be a set of guidelines and grounds tested by practice that could be used in organizational practice, and also, in the teaching of the future managers and entrepreneurs at the Prague University of Economics and Business.
